The following immunisation schedule is for the UK, as approved by the Department of Health and the NHS. Each vaccination is given as a single injection into the muscle of the thigh or upper arm.
2 months old
- Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)
- Pneumococcal infection
Vaccine: DTaP/IPV/Hib + PCV (Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine)
3 months old
- Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)
- Meningitis C
Vaccine: DTaP/IPV/Hib + MenC
4 months old
- Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib)
- Meningitis C
- Pneumococcal infection
Vaccine: DTaP/IPV/Hib + MenC + PCV
~12 months old
- Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib)
- Meningitis C
Vaccine: Hib/MenC
~13 months old
- Measles, mumps and rubella
- Pneumococcal infection
Vaccine: MMR + PCV
3 years 4 months old
- Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis and polio
- Measles, mumps and rubella
Vaccine: DTaP/IPV + MMR
13-18 years old
- Diphtheria, tetanus, polio
Vaccine: Td/IPV
